Kein Tag vergeht, an dem ein Besuch auf IT&W nicht etwas Wunderbares zutage fördert, danke Jungs!

Heute war es oben genannter Israel, ein hawaiianischer Sänger, leider 1997 schon verstorben. Aber ungefähr zur gleichen Zeit als Marusha uns mit ihrer Version von Somewhere over the Rainbow aufs Trommelfell ging, kam Israel mit diesem Lied daher:

Nachtrag (Februar 2004): Es ist erstaunlich, wieviel Besucher täglich hier vorbeikommen auf der Suche nach eben diesem Lied. Der Webspace, wo die Datei liegt hat ein Transfervolumen von 1GB pro Monat und es liegt dort auch nur die eine Datei, aber schon nach wenigen Tagen ist jeden Monat das Transfervolumen ausgeschöpft. Also versucht es einfach zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt, die Datei liegt dort. Alternativ schreibt mir ne Mail.

   Thanks for disponibilize this song. I consider it is the one of the most beautiful song of the world and this havaiian version is very special yet(played at "finding forrester" movie).
   
   I was looking for it for several hours in internet and finally found!
   
   We choose to play it in our marriage (on september) at the moment when me and my future wife have leaving the ceremony place (as exit song).

Heard the song first time on a fashion show where they used it whilst showing one collection on runway...it just burnt to my mind unforgettably..they had mixed it together for several times and there seemed to be no end to it...and when it stopped, I wanted it to go on...it felt like never before..like this song had somehow connected with me..then I saw the movie....and when I heard during the movie, that Connery was calling himself to the guy that brought the groceries Mr.Johannson I almost left my mouth open...so there was a strange connection even though I wasnt aware what it would come out to be...
   The soundtrack I couldnt find anywhere(I live in Russia..)...and its now that I found a download..so thank you for making it available...

25. I have been on troubble those days, very very sad and I hear the song on TV, I think in a classic interpretation; I heard this song for the first time a long time ago and although I appreciate its beauty, never felt it as deeply as now.
    As I decided to look for the song into de Internet, I found this wonderful version...and Israel, with his warm and delicate voice start saying "this is for Gaby", well my name is Gaby so I have to say thanks whoever helps the casuality knock to muy door and give me such gift.

    und wollte diesen fantastischen Soundtrack. Das Problem: eben das beste Lied von Iz ist gar nicht drauf (obwohl im Film gespielt).

    ich bin ein deutscher Student in den USA und habe das Lied zum allerersten mal in dem neuen Hallmark Werbespot gehört. Für alle nicht Amis, Hallmark ist die in den USA berühmteste Firma für überkitschige Glückwunschkarten, aber die Werbespots sind immer klasse. Vielen Dank für die MP3… Israel hat eine der unglaublichsten Stimmen die ich jeh gehört habe.

    Ich habe das Lied meiner Mutter(84 Jahre) zugänglich gemacht, die die Version von Judy Garland sehr liebte…bis sie Israel hörte.
    Es gibt nur recht wenige Aufnahmen, die mich so tief berühren.

    ich habe in einem Film einen Ausschnitt von dieser Version gehört und es hat mich seither nicht mehr losgelassen.
    Es ist der schönste Song, der jemals gesungen wurde.

    Wir haben vor 10 Tagen einen Sohn bekommen und haben eine Spieluhr, die “Somewhere over the rainbow” spielt. Dabei schläft er besonders gut ein. 75. Habe diesen Song auf einer Hawaiian Radiostation gehört. Sonntag mittag UK Ortszeit, im stillen Büro, in Hawaii war es wohl schon Mitternacht. Diese Stimme, die Ukelele und die Ehrlichkeit.
